ATLANTA (May 21, 2012) – Students Take it Off, organically, at Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, a division of Atlanta School of Massage. Organic Waxing, the school’s latest green initiative, prepares students with safe products that enhance their clients’ experience and well-being. The Atlanta community benefits, as they can receive eco-friendly spa services for less at the program’s teaching clinic, SensAbility (sensibility.com).
The skin is a receptive organ that absorbs products with which it comes in contact. Conventional waxes contain controversial ingredients, such as mineral oil, propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, isopropyl palmitate, and parabens, that can be harmful to or irritate the skin. Mineral oil, a byproduct of petroleum, clogs the pores, which slows the skin’s ability to eliminate toxins. Parabens, other common ingredients found in waxing products, are associated with endocrine toxicity and immunotoxicity. Parabens damage cellular structure, which is the first stage in the formation of precancerous cells.
Skin care students enrolled at the leading aesthetician school in Atlanta, Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, practice hair removal techniques using non-toxic organic waxes. These plant based waxes are suitable for all skin types and especially gentle on sensitive skin. They leave skin silky soft, hydrated and moisturized.
Clients of SensAbilty, the school’s teaching clinic, can enjoy the new waxing services at affordable prices beginning in June 2012. SensAbility will be offering membership to the Take It Off Club, helping clients maintain silky soft skin all year long.
As a Silver Sponsor of the Green Spa Network, the Atlanta School of Massage promotes and cultivates the vital connections between personal well-being, economic sustainability, and the health of our planet. Organic Waxing is good for the skin and a healthy alternative to conventional waxing products.
