Leading skin care school Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics now makes it possible for anyone to pursue a new career in esthetics with the part-time program available on weekends and Monday evenings.

Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, a division of Atlanta School of Massage, launches a new part-time program October 25, 2010. The new program schedule is designed to give those who have weekday work schedules the opportunity to pursue a career in Esthetics. Classes are held on Saturday and Sunday 8:30-5pm and Monday evenings 6-10pm. The program typically takes 12 months to complete. The curriculum content is organized into five modules: Introduction to Esthetics, Basic Esthetics, Spa Therapies, Clinical Esthetics and Medical Esthetics.

This new part-time Atlanta esthetics program enables students to acquire scientific knowledge, technical skills, and treatment methods in order to provide competent and appropriate skin care services as a professional esthetician to a diverse public. Class content and clinic practicum meet Georgia State Board of Cosmetology requirements for graduation and application for licensure, which is required to practice as a professional esthetician in Georgia, and other states.

Future employment opportunities for estheticians appear to be outstanding with an anticipated growth rate of 38%, according to the 2010 – 2011 edition of the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Newly licensed esthetician graduates of a leading skin care school like Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics can expect to obtain entry-level positions in spas, medical esthetic clinics, commercial cosmetic settings, and private basic skin care practice.
